About IWN Cell
The Institute Website and Networking (IWN) Cell manages and maintains the enterprise IT, server, campus Wi-Fi, and web portal facilities of Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar. The Cell operates as the technical nerve-center ensuring 24x7 robust digital connectivity for academic departments, research labs, hostels, and administrative offices across campus.
Mandate & Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-speed, secure Internet and intranet services to all campus residents, students, and faculty via the National Knowledge Network (NKN).
- Design, maintain, and secure the official institutional website (cit.ac.in), admission portals, and departmental micro-sites.
- Operate the central Server Room, enterprise firewall, DNS, campus email exchange (`@cit.ac.in`), and institutional data storage backbones.
- Deploy campus Wi-Fi coverage across academic blocks, central library, seminar halls, and student residence halls.
